A visit to the CO₂ terminal in Esbjerg.

On sunday, Peter Hindsberger, Senior Regulatory and Public Affairs Manager at INEOS, welcomed Benny Engelbrecht, Social Democratic spokesperson on finance, for a visit to the CO₂ terminal currently under construction at the Port Esbjerg.

The visit offered a chance to see the progress at the site, including the first two large CO₂ tanks that have already been installed at the terminal - a visible sign that carbon capture and storage is moving closer to becoming a reality in Denmark.

The programme also included discussions about the potential of CCS in Denmark, job creation and the role of Esbjerg as a hub for new CO₂ infrastructure as well as how experience from the Danish offshore sector can contribute to building new green value chains.
