Carbon Destroyer 1 has entered dry dock – with the next phase underway.

Last week, another milestone was reached in the construction of Carbon Destroyer 1, the first dedicated offshore CO₂ carrier built in the EU.

The vessel entered dry dock at the port of Delfzijl in the Netherlands – a key step in the outfitting phase. The docking operation went fully according to plan.

This was followed by the successful installation of the retractable thrusters, which will support the vessel’s precision manoeuvring during offshore CO₂ transfer operations.

Together with our partners at Royal Wagenborg, we’re making steady progress on the infrastructure needed to enable safe, efficient, and permanent offshore CO₂ storage in the Danish North Sea.
