Carbon Destroyer 1 nearing completion at Royal Wagenborg yard

Construction of Carbon Destroyer 1 at the Wagenborg yard in the Netherlands is now entering its final phase.With the huge CO₂ tanks and the deck now installed, preparations are underway for departure to Esbjerg later this month.

Once in Denmark, the vessel will undergo final adjustments and integration work at the Port Esbjerg as it prepares for its role in transporting liquefied CO₂ for storage in the North Sea.

It marks another important step in establishing the transport infrastructure that supports the CCS value chain being developed under the Greensand Future project.

We look forward to welcoming Carbon Destroyer 1 to Esbjerg.
